Agis Center

            AGIS Center for Arts and Humanities, Inc., a 501C(3) non-profit corporation, is headquartered and operated in the greater Washington, D.C. area and across the United States.    The mission of the AGIS Center is to promote, sponsor, present, and support distinguished arts, cultural activities, and scholastic programs for better exchange and understanding between people from diverse cultures and heritages.

            The members of the AGIS Center Executive Board, all volunteers, hold a variety of professional and management positions in academic, business, and governmental sectors. They are all well-recognized leaders in social and community services.

            AGIS Center is a recipient of Awards for Outstanding Community Services from the Governor of the State of Maryland, the General Assembly of the State of Maryland, and the Executive of the Montgomery County.

            In the past few years, AGIS Center initiated and organized a number of outstanding arts, cultural, and educational events for the enjoyment of people residing in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. These activities received close cooperation from many local community organizations, especially the Peking University Alumni Association at Washington, D.C. (www.puaa-dc.org), the Alma Mater of the founding members of the AGIS Center Executive Board.

            AGIS Center takes the pride in being able to present world-class Chinese and American artists to the center stage of the Nation’s Capital. AGIS Center will continue its vigorous efforts in serving communities and improving the life quality for all.
